We Offer a range of set-price ‘all inclusive’ packages to suite your budget ranging from a starter package to a single line name trace or a full ancestry. we can also tailor a package to suit your needs. Using original sources at each stage to prove your ancestry we aim to trace your family tree back to the early 1800’s. Our research aims to discover where and when your ancestors were born, who they married, if they had any siblings or children and what they did for a living. Where possible, we also try to go a little bit further for a more personal touch, by using alternative sources such as military records and newspaper archives which can uncover the trials and tribulations of your ancestors lives. It is even possible to come across a description of a persons character or physical appearance which can really bring your family tree to life!
We are passionate about our work and treat each family tree with the same level of commitment and co-ordination as if it were are own. For us there is nothing more rewarding than a client who tells you the knowledge they have gained about their ancestors has given them a stronger sense of identity knowing where they come from, or when our research has discovered the ‘missing link’ to a story or event that has been passed down a family from generation to generation.
If you choose FHRS to accompany you on your journey back in time you can be assured of a dedicated service unique to you and your family. Before research begins a preliminary search will be conducted free of charge to ensure adequate records exist and you will be advised of the likelihood of success. Once your requirements have been understood and a price has been agreed you will be required to pay 50% of the fee in advance. The remaining 50% is payable on completion. You can be assured of receiving a dedicated and accurate service and you will be kept regularly informed of the progress. Original sources will be used to prove your ancestry and you will receive the original copies with your final report. Where it is not possible to include original sources due to copyright, you will receive a transcript. If your research can not be continued as far as originally anticipated which can sometimes happen due to immigration, emigration or illegitimacy for example, then you will only be charged for the work carried out - this is one of the reasons why we don’t ask for full payment upfront.
To ensure we maintain our high standards of service and to enable us to offer all our clients a dedicated and personal approach to their research conducted in a timely manner, we limit the number of projects we take on at any one time.
